It has been ten years since the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake, a series of earthquakes that affected Kumamoto Prefecture on April 14th, 2016, at 9:26 p.m.

HINAGIKU collaborates with "Digital Archives of Kumamoto Disasters" operated by Kumamoto Prefecture. You can search materials related to the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake of that archive via HINAGIKU.

The fifteen contents from "Digital Archives of Kumamoto Disasters" will be displayed on the top page of HINAGIKU from April 14th to May 15th, 2026.

"Digital Archives of Kumamoto Disasters" makes photographs, videos, documents, and other materials collected from a wide range of local governments and related organizations publicly available to preserve the experiences and lessons learned from the Kumamoto earthquake and the July 2020 heavy rains for future generations and to apply them to future disaster response.

The "Fixed point shooting", "Storytelling", "Recording and Verification", and "Utilization" categories on the Kumamoto Earthquake page include materials and other resources that can be used for disaster prevention and mitigation education and disaster prevention measures.
