The National Diet Library (NDL) provides various forms of support related to the Great East Japan Earthquake, including the provision of bibliographic information and other resources to assist those affected by the disaster and to support recovery and reconstruction efforts in the affected areas.

Collaborative Reference Database Project

A research database jointly developed by the National Diet Library in cooperation with libraries throughout Japan.

Support for the Restoration of Disaster-Damaged Materials

Restoration of the Yoshida Family Documents by the National Diet Library

This page records the restoration work carried out by the National Diet Library on the Yoshida Family Documents, designated as a tangible cultural property by Iwate Prefecture and damaged in the Great East Japan Earthquake.

The working group on libraries damaged during the Great East Japan Earthquake

National Diet Library and "National, public and private university library cooperation committee" established "The working group on libraries damaged during the Great East Japan Earthquake" under "Liaison Meeting of NDL and University Libraries". To share the experience of damaged libraries during the Great East Japan Earthquake widely and tell in posterity,the working group acted from March 2013 to March 2014 and has compiled the final report.

東日本大震災に関する記録の収集、提供、保存の更なる拡大に向けて、東日本大震災の被災地域及び近隣地域の各県立図書館の方針、施策、課題及びノウハウを共有するため、国立国会図書館は平成25年度から「国立国会図書館と県立図書館の震災記録に関する協力連絡会議」を運営してきました。

参加館は、当館、青森県立図書館、岩手県立図書館、宮城県図書館、山形県立図書館、福島県立図書館、茨城県立図書館、千葉県立中央図書館です。

平成29年度以降は定期的な会議開催はせず、活動報告を取りまとめ情報を共有する形で運営してきましたが、参加館との協議の結果、令和3年3月31日をもって本会議の運営を終了いたしました。令和3年5月24日に、これまでの活動を取りまとめた最終報告書を公開しました。
